According to laws, all foreign nationals must have visa in order to enter Iran.

(Except nationals whose countries hold a Visa Abolition Agreement with I.R. IRAN?)

 

Required documents

  • All visa applicants are requested to apply for the Islamic Republic of Iran's Visa on www.evisa.mfa.ir.
  • Visa applicants will need to attend along with original passport (with more than six months validity) and UAE ID card.
  • The Islamic Republic of Iran's Visa will be issued for applicants who has UAE visa residence or who has visa reference.
  • For children under 18 years old, father’s written agreement is required. In case of divorce, a letter issued by the court consisting the mother’s authority of the child is required.(Click here for completing the form)
  • Original copy of a renege document is required for those who have officially reneged their Iranian nationality
  • For journalists, in addition to the article 1 questionnaire, press form also should be completed personally in this Consulate General.
  • A valid UAE residence visa with more than six months validity.
  • Travel insurance valid in Iran is required for all applicants (international insurance valid in Iran is accepted if there is agency office in Iran).
  • No objection letter from employer (for business visa)
  • Official up to dated invitation on behalf of applicant sponsor or Iranian company for business visa is needed.
  • Finger print is required for all Schengen countries and British nationals.(Except children under 12 years old)
  • Visa fees

 

Important Points:

  • All questions must be answered correctly, particularly the ones marked with a "*"
  • In case of visa rejection, no fees are refunded for German, British, French, Dutch, and Swedish nationals.
  • Visa confirmation depends on the interview with the applicant

 

The time of responding to applicants is Sunday to Thursday, from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm for non-Arab nationality and from 8:00 am – 10:00 am for Arab nationality except Friday, Saturday and public holidays.
